Ying Jein’s Portfolio
Selected Work
DRAFT — three kinds of close work, one pair of hands: sushi at the counter, nail art at the bench, and her mother's kitchen before either of them.
Burmese Home Cooking
- Traditional noodles (Since childhood) — DRAFT — cooked alongside her mother since she was small. Confirm which noodles she means: given Shan State, Shan khao swè is the likely one, but mohinga and ohn no khao swè are the other candidates and they are not the same dish.
- Tofu (Since childhood) — DRAFT — Burmese tofu is made from split-pea or chickpea flour rather than soy, and the Shan version is the best known of them. Confirm this is the one she makes, and what she serves it as.
- Chicken meatballs (Since childhood) — DRAFT — confirm the dish name she uses for these, and whether they belong to a larger plate.
Nail Art
- PLACEHOLDER — set name (2026) — PLACEHOLDER — what the client asked for, what was used, how long it took.
